Improvement Ideas on Content Market Usage
Improving the Content Marketing withing a company such as Bethesda Softworks (Zenimax) will be a difficult undertaking, for it is at the current conducted close to perfectly.
They have incorporated a wide variety of social media channels to the company content marketing, they are using storytelling as a tool to create a connection to their customers, and they are interacting with their players.
On Bethesda and Zenimax case I would add more interaction with the players if possible, make the story of the company as well-known as the video games made by them. Through storytelling they can deepen the relationship with the customers. For the less a company reminds one, the more consumers will start to feel pride upon owning the products. And a community is created.
Perhaps I would incorporate and ask for people's experiences in the homepage, from various games, as it is very heavily directed to one or two games always at a time.
And the only thing coming to mind via Elder Scrolls Online example on last post, about the users creating youtube videos of builds, especially the more famous ones should be taken account in marketing if possible. The game revolves around "growing", and these videos support that concept, and have strong, often loyal, follower base.
